Finishing covers tape, corner treatment, successive compound coats, sanding, and the specified finish level. Texture is an additional surface treatment; primer seals and equalizes the substrate; paint supplies the final color and sheen. Protection, dust control, cleanup, and disposal also need an assigned scope.
The proposal should identify wall and ceiling areas, board type, finish level, texture sample, primer, number and type of paint coats, color responsibility, lighting conditions for inspection, and who corrects framing or trade damage. “Ready for paint” does not mean painted, and “texture match” does not guarantee an invisible blend on an aged surface.
