Source, processor, matrix, extender, cable, receiver, display, audio device, and settings must agree on resolution, refresh rate, color format, HDR metadata, copy protection, and audio. One older display or improperly managed EDID can limit a shared path. “4K compatible” is not specific enough.
Specify test signals and content for each output, including HDR and audio formats, then validate switching and recovery.
