What is Mini-LED?

Mini-LED is an LCD backlight technology that uses many smaller light-emitting diodes, enabling finer local brightness control than larger, less densely arranged backlight systems.

How Mini-LED works in a connected system

A Mini-LED television is still an LCD display. The smaller backlight elements allow manufacturers to create more independently controlled lighting zones behind the liquid-crystal panel. When the video calls for a bright object beside darkness, the system can dim some zones and raise others.
