Invisible speakers use a broad radiating panel installed flush with the wall or ceiling and covered by an approved finish, allowing the surface to appear continuous while the panel produces sound. Unlike a conventional exposed cone and grille, the finished panel becomes part of the radiating system. Performance therefore depends heavily on correct rough-in depth, fastening, finish thickness, surrounding construction, amplifier protection, crossover design, and calibration.
They can be appropriate when architecture and interior design require technology to disappear, but they should be specified for the intended output and coverage—not selected on appearance alone.
